BelongMS - Multiple Sclerosis

I’ve had MS for 25 years and I live by the title words. MS doesn’t have me now and it never has the past 25 years. It’s because of sites like BelongMS and I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to be in a wheelchair! I get up everyday and do something. It can be some chores around the house, play with my dog, go to the grocery, or do anything that requires a lot of movement. This isn’t a network of a few people. This is a family, with tons of people, who know a whole lot about MS! It has information about anything to do with MS, and the cool thing is, it comes from other MS friends just like you. You can talk to them, ask questions, and they even have a button for a hug! This is the best social media site for MS, that I have used in my 25 years of being MS positive. There is a wealth of information at your fingertips, including medication, treatments, physicians, studies, friendship, therapy, and awesome support. You can put your symptoms in a message and ask if anyone has ever had the same symptoms. Friends will reply with their experiences on the subject. It’s so helpful when we all work together towards a common goal...the cure! It’s also nice to have all your information in one place, so you can easily retrieve it. I’m talking about you MS story from the beginning to the end. There is a place to keep the meds you have tried, dates and what you are on now, test results and brain lesions, doctors, and all of your MS information. You can’t give up with MS or it will take over your life. Get up everyday and do something physical! This is how you stay out of those wheelchairs! Remember, you may have MS, but it doesn’t have you!! KEEP MOVING!
