I’m a model who runs my modeling and online presence like what it is: a business. I also (now over years of using it!) have lots of business acquaintances I’ve come to call true friends who use the app as a sponsored service platform for exposure and portfolio imagery - and both of us love it! Surprised to see negative reviews left here…Here’s my 2 cents: I’ve had BeautyPass for years and love to see how the app has grown. I recently moved to NYC from a smaller town and am excited to explore more of the experiences it has to offer. I especially love the events that occasionally are on offer, with prominent clients such as Nylon Mag and Kate Spade, for example. This app is a wonderful way to meet other people in the industry, find new places in a new city, and grow relationships with your favorites in your home city (I recommend Sui Yoga and TMPL Gym to everyone I meet, and frequent food businesses with paying friends too!) I’ve also had no issues with customer service; I’ve had a couple small issues before and was able to resolve them quickly in-app or via IG messages with the BeautyPass admin team.
I have friend who owns a business and was approached by this app to do business with them, and they asked for my opinion on this app. TBH -I completely forgot this app existed until I redownloaded and searched my messages and saw that I was still “pending” years later on the app, and no one had bothered to ever write me back on social media after a few attempts. I of course told my friend this who was in shock, because I was just in Italian Vogue for the 5th time 3 months ago and I have been modeling for over a decade have worked with almost every huge fashion house in the world. I also have been signed with the best agencies in the world Next, Elite, Viva Paris, New York Models, M4 Hamburg, Fashion Milan, and Chic Australia. It’s frankly insulting.. that some models with no REAL experience in the world of modeling are on this app, and I cant even get anyone to answer a message for 3 years. So it’s a BIG NO from me for any business who wants to use this unless you want some inexperienced so called “model” with probably fake followers coming to your business for free and never returning.
I have been working with beauty pass for some time and have had a really great experience. So far almost every model has been super respectful of me and my time and has given me great content and tagged photos, with the exception of a couple models. But hey, that happens with real paying clients too. Not everyone shows up, nature of the biz. I like the flexibility that the app gives me to be able to control the details and availability of my offers. I have not had any issues dealing with customer service when I have a question. I will continue to use Beauty Pass and look forward to more features in the future.
