ABC English Alphabet Phonics

Who comes up with these things. Worked hard to find one that used to phonics rather than just letter names (common sense but surprisingly hard to find). Found this one, only to first encounter an annoying song making it so that you could hardly hear the letters. OK you can turn the song off which is fundamental, but why they would have it there distracting the kid to begin with and have you go to extra pains to turn it off I have no idea. It does not help with learning. Secondly the letter sounds of some letters specifically the letter L, are inaccurate. This was a deal breaker. Thirdly, when you play the letter sound you hear an annoying sound of someone stating the name of the letter. They call this Montessori but I’m pretty sure they don’t introduce letter names so quickly. Long story short as a person fairly well-versed in literacy/education, I can say that I deleted this app after about a minute and a half. I give it two stars in case I didn’t give it a long enough chance and since it is free (though free shouldn’t mean bad- simple is actually what I’m looking for here!)
