I think this is a good app for parents engaging their kids at home; however, not if you’re an OT looking for more tracing apps. Luckily I got this when it was free for a day. It has errorless learning, meaning the kid can’t trace anywhere off the line, even when the letter trials are supposed to get harder. I think being able to see the errors benefits students. Also the background is visually confusing. You can do either a white background but then you have clear letters to trace so there’s no contrast or a colored patterned background with the tracing letters being the same color. The letters should contrast from the background. I’ll be deleting this app.
New, improved, and even better than the original! Yum Yum Letters is a great way to encourage your child to engage in fun, repeated practice for production and recognition of alphabet letters, in order to foster beginning handwriting and phonics skills. This app presents short, guided, repetitive finger tracing alphabet learning tasks with a clean graphic layout, friendly characters, and fun mini games and visual awards to enhance learning. Provides for many user controlled settings, offers choice of handwriting styles, and tracks progress for multiple students! I like how you can select specific letters to target, or go through them automatically. Great for use at school or home! I love the colorful artwork and the friendly narrator! The app offers great value! Recommended!
My kids loved it.
