Yatzy

I paid for the ad-free version. Suddenly with the latest update, I am getting a ton of ads. I finally found a hidden link to restore purchases, but when I clicked I got a message that said “nothing to restore” - which is patently false because I still have my paid receipt. No way to report the problem to the developer: the app support button leads you to a marketing page that has NO contact info. Been dealing with this mess for a few days now and haven’t been able to play a single game. Used to be my favorite game app; now I feel screwed over. Updating six weeks later after reading the developer’s response: I gave you a second chance tonight and re-downloaded the game. BUT I STILL CAN’T restore purchases. Still getting ads when I paid for ad-free. Still feeling screwed over, and now feeling like you lied to me.

I play against robot but yesterday it stopped letting me record my score. It does allow the robot to score. It allows me my three rolls but you cannot take your score. Example, say in three rolls I have four number threes, I try to record scour of twelve but it will not allow. After tapping the column in several sections it will then record a random score and then allow the robot to play. Very frustrating.

The 4.5 stars is likely left over from the previous version. I’d give that version 5 stars. This version is more like 2 stars. The cartoon characters make the game feel like it’s for 2-year olds. The choices for scoring are more difficult to determine now. The fonts are very light gray instead of black. There is no longer a built in double-touch mechanism that used to make you touch your selection twice, which kept one from making a mistake. .Also, the cheering noise needs to be removed-that was a bad decisions by the developers. Now I don’t dislike everything about the new version-the spinning dice upon opening the game is cool!!! I’ll probably still use this app because it’s just one of a limited number of a variety of Yatzy (and yatzy-like) apps that include 6-dice European yatzy and that is the most challenging of all the Yahtzee-type games (more strategy involved). I appreciate that the developers kept the 6-dice European in their new version. Maybe I’ll get used to the silly cartoon-kids and phony cheering, who knows!
