Not user friendly

I have encountered a number of issues over the 6 years of using this app; some have been “fixed” and others still remain. This app is not very user friendly. For example, it does not allow for screen rotation or viewing in landscape mode. I have a company-issued iPad in a hard case with attached keyboard. I am unable to use the keyboard with this app as it is configured to always use portrait mode. Maybe fine if you are using this app on your tiny phone screen to enter things, but I never do that. Additionally, I have tried to use the automatic trip log and it never works to keep track of my trips while driving. I need to keep restarting it. It has “ended” the trip in the app when I am stuck at a stop light and then I need to go in and delete that partial trip from the log and re-enter the full trip manually. That is even more work/an extra step over just typing in the starting and ending point for each trip individually in the trip log. One other example is the “find service” function that allows me to search for a fuel station that takes the WEX card for gas. I have used that function to find a station and gotten fuel at that convenient fuel station along my route…only to be penalized later and told that the fuel station I chose was too expensive. I am not sure where the communication issue lies on that one…either with my company not providing a list of restrictions to Element, or Element not following through by adjusting their station list. In either case, I can’t trust that I can use the app reliably.

Notifications too not match maintenance schedule

The app sends out notifications for maintenance prevention. To me that should make the service visit very easy as element is telling you what the car needs. In my past two service visits there has been long waits to get approvals to begin the work and also work that is listed on the notification not being approved. Trying to reach the maintenance team for element is also a problem. You can speak with a administration, but they liaison with the maintenance team. Bottom line, dealing with Element is difficult and frustrating.

Poor performance from both the app and the company

1. The touch/fingerprint log in feature never works on the app, I have to enter my paw every time. 2. I made an appointment through the desktop website for service, received an email from Element saying my appt was confirmed, also showed in the app. When I showed up at the scheduled times Firestone told me the appt was pending awaiting confirmation from Element and that instead of waiting an hour it would be 4-5. This is not the first time I have been extremely disappointed with Elements level of customer service. When I called in to complain your CSR wasn’t even aware you could make an appt through the Element website without talking to a rep. Your communication during an issue is also always terrible.
