VERY disappointed in this app. I was hoping to link to sites such as HRRR, model sites, SKEW-T or even GOES 16 sites. You are better off just creating shortcuts in your web browser or short cuts to your desktop to get sites requiring interactive input to work. If the site link does not end in a picture format such as .jpg, you get a download error on right side of screen. In safari, I get the looping graphic image perfectly. Also, once you do create a link, you can’t edit the link. You have to delete the link and start all over again rather than just updating a link within an existing menu option you just created.
Thanks for updating the iPad version so that it can be viewed in landscape mode and be zoomable.
What I look for in a weather app is a more in-depth understanding of what's going on. Wx does not provide that. It gives thorough forecasts and cool-looking gauges for displaying current conditions, and a nice set of maps. It's interface is clean. The "Pro Forecast", a line chart of predicted upcoming temperatures, is nifty. But that's it. The app includes a list of predefined NWS maps, but could go much further in that direction. If it did, I would rate it more highly. How about a link to a map that shows a radar-enhanced or weather map-enhanced satellite loop? I actually prefer the AccuWeather pro app for iPad, even though it has unsophisticated maps.
