WISH-TV Storm Track 8 Weather

This is my go to app for when I need to know the forecast in central Indiana. I enjoy the radar, weather tracking features and being alerted about warnings in the area. I like being able to access school closings and being able to send in pictures to the storm track 8 team.

Downloaded the new app to find that advertisements take up most of the home screen. And when trying to Zoom in to identify specific locations of interest (home, work, etc) full page ads popped up. When setting up notifications to receive for locations, the whole thing froze; no way to go forwards or backwards. Waited and it would not unfreeze. Was unable to view anything else this might have to offer. Had such high hopes for this overly-totted weather app — Uninstalled. Note to WISH-TV and weather app developers, when severe weather is in the area it is imperative that we see what is happening NOW, your pop up ads are risking the lives of the people you are trying to protect. Are our lives really worth any delay in being forced to X out of your money making scheme?

I used your old weather app daily. This new one is awful! Harder to navigate and less user friendly. The home page has the weather at the top in a very tiny little graphic. The vast majority of the page (taking up half the opening screen) is now a large annoying advertisement. I am happy to deal with ads but not when they are the sole focus of the page versus the weather that I loaded the app for!
