MedM Weight (Smart Weight Diary) app gets Weight and other measurements that stem from Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), such as Lean Body Mass, Body Fat Percentage, from the smart scales via Bluetooth, calculates Body Mass Index (BMI), synchronizes the data with Apple Health (if enabled). These days many appliances are manufactured in places that do not yet embrace the concept of privacy. Apps that come with many smart scales require that Health data is uploaded to those jurisdictions. When choosing between different Bluetooth-equipped smart scales one looks at quality, convenience, Apple Health integration and privacy-friendliness of the mobile app. MedM Weight app that works with smart scales from many vendors respects privacy the same way as MedM Blood Pressure does, by keeping Health data locally on the device, if user prefers it that way. User interface is clean and easy to use. Technical Support is very helpful. After evaluating few apps provided by the manufacturers of the smart scales, I found it easier to simply buy the smart scales model supported by MedM Weight app.
