The menu is unintuitive but I figured it out. Three easy photos were incorrectly “identified” with low confidence 30-40% which I determined by comparing mine to reference photos in the app. Sometimes it says “AI may make mistakes, please suggest a different species” then a list of 20 zillion names is presented. Doh, how about ask AI to try again, and present PHOTOS of possible matches!? Users should be able to work through a process of elimination until a suggestion matches the observation.

First image I put in, the ID the app provided is very wrong and I can’t even change it to the correct ID. The bones of this app are great but please fix the ID component.

Pros: Accurately identifies plants that it knows, even if only leaves are present. For weeds, it is important to identify them at any growth stage. Cons: It is obviously a version 1.0 product and needs a few fixes. In particular, the experience of anonymous weed reports could be better as there is not much feedback that the report has landed in the appropriate place
