I came from using the OC Bus app and that one was SO MUCH easier to use. I didn’t look into why they had to switch to a whole new app but this Wave app is very difficult to navigate through. It’s not user friendly, despite it claiming to be. The features are so confusing. I hope they find a better way to improve the user experience. Also, I’m not sure if it’s on certain days but it won’t even let me buy a single day pass. I had to add money to my card, which I didn’t want to spend more than necessary. So now my money is sitting there until I use it again which I don’t use the bus as my daily commuter. At this point I should be part of their UX team.
Password manager isn't working with this app. 1password specifically. I was able to get around the issue but it was clunky. Why am I being signed out of my account in the first place? It's too techy and complicated for a bus pass system. I don't believe most people will understand it. I saw a woman cry on the bus because she didn't understand the bus pass system.
I'm a college student trying to get reduced fare on the bus. The application process on mobile is sadistic and draconian. Every time I need to secure a document and alt-tab to my email app or my camera, the application completely refreshes and I have to start it all over again. I gave up entirely after it told me AFTER DOING EVERYTHING ELSE that I actually needed to quit the application process to open a virtual card, and then START ALL OVER. Not to mention, OC transit is still ridiculously overpriced even with the fare reduction, but that's old news. If this app is barely functional, where is that money even going?
