When are you going to support the full screens on newer iPhone models, like the XR?! When are you going to fix the issue described below?!?! You can’t pause a video and then lock the phone either because the issue is the same when you unlock it and then try to unpause the video. This is on iOS 11.2.6 and iPhone 6. FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! While playing a Replay video (tennis in this case) and an email comes in, if you either Pause or just Home button exit the app and go reply to the email, when you come back to the video, there will be an error that the video cannot be played and you also cannot select that same video and play it again from the Replay list unless you go back one level to sport choice and then back into sport type and pick the video again. You need to fix this as it makes it hard to just Pause a video playback, go respond to a quick email and come right back to the action without having to restart the video and scrub it forward to where it decided to crash out.
I’m no super hero of technology and I started out with a black and white TV and watched UHF Channel 52 as a kid... Fast forward to today’s technology, we expect things to work all the time when it comes to technology. A few streamline glitches does not even compare to UHF dizzy lines, aluminum foil on the circle antenna connected to the back of the TV and if you had an antenna on the roof top you were big time. Some channels used to go off network and you would get an “otter limits buz” and a picture of an Native American Indian on the screen. I never knew what that meant.. Now you have a million channels and there is still nothing in TV, just more of a variety. As for the ESPN and other “Apps”, they are just fine compared to the past ancient networks that sold soap, dish washing liquid and cigarettes... Now as for sports Apps that you can watch major games on... Shiiiiiiiit. All Day Everyday. I’ll take that with the small glitches. It beats Kimba the white lion and Jonny Socko and his giant robot.... Heck, it even beats Gigantor... but it doesn’t beat Speed Racer vs the Flying Gilliteens, The Malouge or the Mameth Car... All those channel 52 programs are epic.... But this App is cool. I give it a “Feva” aka 5 Fast forward....
You get ESPN and all the other channels under their umbrella: Longhorn Network, SEC, All the ESPNs. The quality of the video is great. You can also access other aired content like 30 for 30 docs. NFL Live and their hot takes. Etc. The problem: the commercials stream perfectly, however, if you're watching a game, you have to have another app open to follow along. It freezes every 10-15 seconds back with garbled quality. Once the picture clears up to HD, it freezes again. I know ESPN was late to the streaming game. I know they're losing subscribers and money - the just fired a bunch of on-air talent. But if they're doing this to force the viewer to buy a cable package just for ESPN, I'd rather just follow along on "the SCORE" app and listen to the game on the radio. The SCORE app provider real time stats and is only a few seconds behind the actual game. C'mon ESPN. Invest the money you're "saving" into your streaming service. This is the future. If you don't, the games are going to basic channels and antennas.
