Pay to Win

This game is super fun: the combat is interesting, the design is cute, and I like a lot about it. However, the biggest issue is that you have a very small energy pool, and levels cost a lot of energy to play. There's a tavern that gives you a lot of energy daily, but because levels are insanely hard to beat, you have to use that energy on patrolling (meaning you don't actually play) for small rewards. Additionally, levelling up characters is expensive with in-game currency, and with day-of-the-week limitations, it goes REALLY slow. This is a game that definitely fits the play style of either players that want to spend real money or are extremely patient and like repetition. To solve these issues, I think lowering the amount it energy it costs to play a level is one fix, then making the first star for a character easier to obtain without real money (then further stars requiring time and money). I'm gonna keep playing, but man, this game can be infuriating even with spending money; I pay for VIP and STILL can't progress because of the difficulty.

Really good

Probably the best TD I’ve played in a while. It feels fair. Unlocking quite a few characters just for playing the game. And further leveling them up by pulling them. This will allow you to take a beneficial character in to battle eliminating chance. I do wish the pull rates on souls were better because it is extremely hard to pull an extra. The animations are super slick, and the fights are very satisfying. I have a feeling I will be playing this for a very long time. Guys I recommend supporting this game. In my opinion best bang for your buck are key fund for gacha spins, and gem fund for reaching levels. Really nice game.

Good concept marred by lackluster design

This game has cute art and characters and a promising concept. Unfortunately, the game design is very amateur. Your characters attack slowly. That means most of the time you’re not seeing anything exciting happen on screen. It’s like watching paint dry. Enemies advance, take some damage, and keep going. Then they either overwhelm you or they don’t. By level 4 or so, even with a decent amount of upgrades, the enemy numbers start to get unmanageable, and losses become common. Sure you could wait some more to gather various upgrade resources, or you could spend money to try to get everything faster. But why? Waiting is not exciting, and I don’t want to spend money on a game unless I’m certain that I like it enough to play for several months or more. Most F2P mobile games are much more generous and exciting, while at the same time being more strategic. If the developers want this game to succeed, they need to play more successful titles and take some notes on pacing of both gameplay and rewards, pay attention to difficulty curves, and then improve their design. EDIT: Really wanted to give this game a fair chance. I’m pleasantly surprised to say that it gets a lot better. After a few days of play, you can level up some characters and build a starting team, instead of starting with just one guy. This makes the gameplay a little faster. Although 2x speed is only available for stages you’ve already cleared, which I think is a major oversight… In short, the game is pretty good, but the design feels “backwards.” You start with levels that are slow and hard and reach levels that are fast and easy. It’s a bit counterintuitive for sure.
