I’ve played this game since it came out for about ten years. It tracks your steps and you can create really cute planets. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars over the years on asteroids/subscribing. My biggest issue is that when you get a new phone you lose your progress. You log into their “sparkful” account and they tell you your progress is saved . Currently I have an iPhone 16 when I logged in I lost years of progress from the last new phone, iPhone 13 … That means I lost progress from 2021 when the 13 came out!!!! That’s maddening!!! I’ve played this game every day logging in a few times a day, it’s the only game Ive played consistently even on my lunch breaks. After losing so much progress and having to start again I feel disappointed and I will not keep playing this. Why can’t your game be saved in the cloud? And yes I contacted support I got a response to delete the app and log in again. That was worse! I was up to 30 days to wait to build a new planet my food capacity was at 99,000 this game has me at 30,000. Each time I did a super harvest I got 1 million, now it’s at 20,000. Who wants to rebuild planets I already had for years now!?!? UPDATE: Lemme say after going back and forth in emails the developers )for a week )they found my account and helped me log back in so remember your log in. I’m back and I didn’t change this review because I want you to know that they helped me fix it and I have my account back … thank you Lily 😉
I've been playing walkr for 4 years now, and I still love it dearly. I open it almost every day. It is so soft, calming, and sweet. You're even rewarded for your daily steps! I genuinely enjoy seeing each new planet I discover, completing the little missions, and seeing the new satilites and creatures. Walkr feels like sinking my brain into memory foam during a stressful day. I rarely play for more than 5-10 minutes at a time, but the little break from my work is lovely. It is a little frustrating that the planets take -so- long to discover (2.5-3 days), but in a way it makes it more rewarding when it finally is ready. I am so glad Walkr exists. UPDATE: A few months ago I wanted to get back into this game, which i played throughout highschool when it was just a itty bitty baby game, and I had achieved sooo much progress. When the devs switched to the fourdesire account model, they lost ALL of my - and many other people's - hard worked for data. A very bad call, though I don't think it was intentional. I nearly cried when I found out my years of progress were no longer existent. Regardless, I still started another account and am now back up to lvl 21 so I guess I really do like this game.
I have been playing Walkr for the last two years. As other reviewers have noted, there is something about this game that keeps me coming back every day. I don't play many games on my phone and when I do I get bored after a few days. But Walkr is different. It uses your phone's built in step tracker and adds energy to your pool to use in the game. This energy is a sort of currency, so you're rewarded for being more active. Such a simple idea but I can't think of another app like it. I love this app and will continue to play as long as I can. That being said I do feel it necessary to call for more updates from the developer--specifically more updates that add planets. I know there are many loyal users who are stuck and out of things to do in the app besides the daily chores. I truly enjoy this app and hope it gets the attention it deserves. While I have made purchases in the app I have not yet subscribed to the new monthly subscription service. I hope that the additional revenue can fund the much needed development required to keep older users engaged. edited for spelling.
