Let me first echo the sentiments of those who are saying WAKY is quite possibly the best radio station that captures the classic top 40 sound of radio as it was back in the day, and as it should be: personality-driven with loads of great classic jingles. But if you don’t live in the station’s broadcast area, your IP address will reflect this, and you’ll have to pay for a VPN app with a Louisville IP address. They have enabled Authentication on their stream server, and if your IP address isn’t within the area, you get an error, even if you Access the stream URL directly. Once you have a VPN with a Louisville IP address (PIA and HMA claim they have a VPN server in Louisville), point your browser at the listen live page and start streaming. Just friendly advice from a Kentucky transplant who moved out and tried to listen. Securenet Systems and their server Authentication can go pound sand.

For some reason I can’t get WAKY radio app to work in my iPhone. Love the station but can’t seem to listen to it on phone or radio in my office. 😩😩😩

If you want to hear radio done right, WAKY is the one to listen to! All the music and excitement of the days that truly made radio popular even including the famous jingles, WAKY Way Back Weekends, all the iconic songs you grew up with and sang along to, and LIVE DJ’s! WAKY has the on-air personalities, LIVE, which also something that made radio popular back in the day! I’d say WAKY is clearly the best station you’ll find anywhere in the world! If you haven’t listened yet, you are missing out on radio at it’s best and the best music ever recorded!
