VOCOlinc

I’ve used these bulbs in this app for about five years. I’ve never had a week where I haven’t had to reset a bulb or do something to get the lights to turn on and off. I’ve gone away on vacation and the bulbs just stopped working. So if you’re getting these bulbs and using their products because you want to be able to control the usage of your lamps or you like the security of being able to turn your lamps on when you’re away, find something else. Do not use these lightbulbs or this app or this product. What’s the point of buying bulbs with a long life if the app to control them stops working within one of the 10 years of your lightbulbs lifespan? I’m pretty sure this company has no idea how to work with Apple and their HomeKit and what to do with users who are still using an iPad as the Hub. This company just assumes everyone who is using this app or has any of its product products bought it within like the last five days.

Just needs a fresh gui. Lose the green. Allow more customizations with icons, colors, emoji in names. Do the m110 outlets have BT radio so if Wi-Fi was down you could “manually” turn on remotely via the HomeHub Bluetooth connectivity provided by a local Apple TV or HomePod? It’d probably be a great “+” or “pro” feature if not— provided that plus or pro feature didn’t double the costs or anything more significant than like $6 or $7. Id replace all my outlets tomorrow for that ability.

After using for a while, and seeing them working as intended, I can’t be certain the issues I was having was VOCOlinc. The app is actually a marvel. The effects you can get like flow, where it goes through all the colors, is very cool. I have Eve motion routines set up using flow scenes and various other colour scenes and brightness throughout the day. The precision I have achieved with the VOCOlinc app is glorious. The automations and scenes written in the VOCOlinc app show up in the Apple Home app and Eve app. I have a home section set up with phillips hue lights, and of course they are great, but can not replace the effects I am getting with the VOCOlinc lights. Though I opted for the full effects and options with a VOCOlinc account, there is the option to set them up in HomeKit only mode for full privacy. These lights don’t require a hub and work with Siri HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home. The app and the lights blow away meross and wyze no comparison.
