Virgin Train Tickets App

I hope the developers see this. I like the app, but I have one request for improvement. If I buy return tickets for two people and save them (4) to my wallet, and then send one pair to my partner (go and return) the e-tickets in the wallet are difficult to tell them apart. Sure, there are two outward tickets, and two return tickets, but the two outward tickets look identical to each other, as do the two return tickets. It is therefore difficult to check that we don’t both carry the same tickets once I’ve shared them. This would cause problems at the barrier. Sharing from the app does not put them in the wallet. I hope I’ve explained adequately! …The developers have promised to consider this request so I’ve added a star to the rating. Just one more to go!

Very good app, easy to get tickets, like that you earn points, easy to get a refund should you need to, user-friendly and easy to navigate, able to reserve seats even though not booking directly with the train operator, payment is fast and easy too. Live departure information is good too - shows destination and stop you’re going to more clearly.

Not a bad app and one I have been regularly been using over the last few months and will still use. Pro: - Able to collect Virgin Red rewards for flights, cruises, free tickets etc. - The split ticketing feature actually works well compared to others. Quite often (not guaranteed) that I get the same seat reservation for the whole trip. Something a lot of competitors struggle with. - No booking fees Issues: - Unable to bulk book tickets. Meaning that when I book my next month of commuter trips I have to book individually. - If I change the day on outbound, the return time resets to 1 hour after outbound. Just makes it an annoyance when I’m looking to book multiple tickets for same time across multiple days. - No web portal available to use on the computer. - I’ve seen at times certain train times disappear from the list as I move towards earlier or later. Something I can fix by going back to search and look at timing. - Rare issue but be good to flag before purchase if I have to collect tickets from a different station because no machines operate at station. Learnt the hard way and had to get a refund.
