Video Maker & Editor: Dizzi AI

There is no doubt this app has a lot of cool features... HERE’S THE CAVEAT: You pay for their subscription, but then you’re expected to pay for a second third party subscription in order to use the music offered in the editing section. 🤨 Sure they have some ‘free’ music you can use but, of course, all the good stuff requires subscription #2 from a different site no less. They’ll tell you there are free options or this is just how they did it to give us the best options for music, but really it’s just greedy and poor form. They do give you the illusion you can use your own iTunes music instead, BUT every song you pick (including the ones you paid for and own) gets a message that says you must purchase the music in order to use it. Yeah, I own a ton of music I purchased but it still won’t let you use it (even though it says it should). I’m in film school right now and all my professors advised against this app. They see it as a racket. Honestly though, I hope the developers fix it. At least the iTunes issue. Then maybe I’ll use it for some work here at school, cause I really did like it. 🥺

First the face tracking feature is cool, but the reliability of the app is actually horrid, the coding or the way the program works with the IOS is just not optimal. I’m using a iPhone 12 and the load times are insane, so I figured if I switched to my IPad mini it would work better as it has a better processing chip, not only is it the same, but the face tracking feature isn’t even there, we’re talking about 10-15 minute wait times. I can download a whole 2 hour movie on my iPhone in that amount of time and this App can’t even handle a couple 3 minute videos in a shorter time frame. For example, I use beatleap, and it uses AI to make video edits in 1 minute, with different jump cut effects, slow motion, sped up, flash, etc. and you have complete control on how much effects gets used in the video, from 1(least amount of effect) to 3(most amount) and the aI just adds in the effects as it sees fit, all in 1 minute. The only time it takes longer is when it has to download your videos from iCloud. This app also 90 percent of the time just won’t create a video, will take you back to the previous screen with a prompt of “there was an error exporting your videos” and it’s not the phone or the iPad because if you just keep trying it will eventually load them. This needs a lot of work.

Thanks for getting back to me and giving me some options to get this resolved. I just emailed your team and hope to hear back from them soon. Previous review: This app doesn’t work. Don’t get me wrong. There seems to be a lot of really cool video filters but when I saw the instagram ad using an AI cartoon video that’s why I downloaded it. When I opened the app and got past the paywall I saw the feature I wanted, “AI vision.” It has video filters called Tooney and Mythic. When I select either one of them it presents to me a screen of the Dizzi logos as if it can’t register any of my videos when I know that isn’t true because the other video filters work. I can’t get past this point to even try what I was so impressed with. To the devs I would be happy to re review and test this part of the app. I’m a UX designer and have tested apps with devs before.
