I downloaded the vast bank app and went trough the registration process, after successfully completing registration I funded the account and bought some crypto. About a day later I was locked out of my account and I did not receive an email stating the reason why. So I called customer service and had to provide my FULL social security number over the phone in order to verify the account. Vast bank should inform customers that they are going to perform accounts reviews before completing registration and allowing customers to transfer funds into the account. The experience has been very frustrating and agravating. I just hope to get my money back in a timely manner.
Positives: -Creating an account was smooth and easy enough; open and usable in minutes -Interface is free from clutter, easy to understand and operate; buying, selling, transferring, all a breeze -Customer support has been reliable and helpful; anytime I’ve had an issue it’s been resolved and clarified -1% fees on all crypto transactions doesn’t seem too bad compared to what I’ve seen but I could be uninformed Negatives: -Lack of accessibility with regards to account; changing address, e-mail, other personal touches, aren’t possible from the app -App only platform hurts; no desktop version is available to my knowledge -No crypto price tracking or charts; all you can see is the current price -They give you access to your initial deposit right away, but after that it’s 5+ days to wait for A2A transfer, 9+ for mobile deposit, that can be lessened with account maturity; universal bank standards I was told, and I’m sure others can vouch for, but being given immediate access to the first deposit and having to wait for every deposit afterwards? Non-sense. Overall: Given the competitive nature of finance apps, there are certainly better options on the market than this. It’s too limited as both a banking app and as a crypto app. I appreciate the push for innovation/integration but if you already have a checking account, I’d stay away from this bank until it rolls out more features to set this service apart from what other crypto apps have to offer.
I’ve done everything needed to be done, I got to the maybe the last stage where I’m suppose to select a card design I want and I get error message. Why is it like that please look into this Thanks I’m giving it 4 stars
