Useful, but not polished enough for a carrier app

The app does seem useful in ways that a lot of other carrier ones are not. I mean, checking my usage and managing lines without having to deal with that messy website is a relief. Switching plans or handling eSIM stuff feels straightforward too, and getting to support right there helps. It looks kind of modern, and I get the sense the company is putting effort into making it better, which is nice. But yeah, it is not totally polished yet. Things go okay for everyday stuff, until you try something bigger like logging in or moving a line around. Then it starts glitching, and that is annoying, especially on my phone where I expect it to just work. For a phone service app, feeling like it mostly works is not ideal, I think. The execution is uneven overall. Day to day it is convenient enough, but when issues pop up it gets glitchy and you end up needing support a lot. If I was already a US Mobile customer, I would probably stick with it because the value seems solid and the app covers the basics. Still, it does not feel like a five star thing, more like a tool that could use some fixing up. That part about depending on support when things go wrong stands out as the weak spot.

Good but, Network Transfers are basically false advertising

Been on US Mobile for over 8 months. The pricing plans are good, the network receptions good, the choice of networks is good, even the customer service is overall very good. However I decided to try out their much touted “Network Transfer” feature. USM made it sound like it was an easy process. Click a button and in a few minutes I’d “switch” networks. That’s not true. They simply offer porting that’s queued up with a button click instead of a phone call. And it’s as tricky and as painful as any porting process has ever been. I was “transferring” for 8 hours. After which I lost all my service when my transfer was completed. If you never plan on shifting networks this shouldn’t be an issue. However if you were like me and this is a reason you are switching. You might want to reconsider. Still 25 a month for 70 GB + of data is a good deal. Also worth mentioning USM constantly changes its 12 month prepaid promotions. They add features , remove features with little notice. So much so it’s caused riffs in the USM customer community. If you end up joining stick with the monthly plan.

Switched from Verizon Post paid account

I’m truly impressed by the data bandwidth speeds I’ve been getting. Yesterday I had 3 tests on Ookla that were over 1000Mb /sec and I have had great signal strength. Compared with the Verizon Wireless plan I previously had, possibly due to a dead spot for Verizon 5G but I was getting maybe 2 bars of signal and my data speeds were terrible considering I was paying $130/ month for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and my Apple Watch (Ultra 2) lines ( the warranty line was very cheap I must admit $5/month + $7 for each device for insurance coverage $14 total/ month just for insurance. Also I paid in full for all my devices so the $130 month was entirely for the service on my iPhone and watch service and insurance coverage. Admittedly I was disappointed to learn that my Apple Watch was not supported by US Mobile network even though it’s just leased lines from T-Mobile, I have been quite impressed by new carrier that is only charging $20 something a month for national unlimited phone and texting and unlimited high speed data up to 100GB a month before your data speed loses priority on the network and throttles your speeds as needed to maintain higher priority user’s speeds. Hopefully this is not a bait and switch and my quality of service will not change after the 30 day trial. Also I was wondering if they accepted lifeline and ACP benefits. That would be awesome.
