When you go look at the map there is absolutely no way to tell what the unit’s heading is. Even if it’s not equipped with some sort of magnetometer it should be able to meter back out where it probably is, or else what point is the ‘Manual’ mode for if it gets stuck and you actually understand what it’s likely stuck on? Furthermore, whenever it’s in the middle of cleaning and I want it to return to its dock instead of continuing… its position stops updating on the map, so I have no clue what it’s doing, and have to watch helplessly as, for all I know, it’s running around randomly, even though it SUPPOSEDLY knows where it started from (spoiler alert: AT THE DOCK) and runs it’s battery all the way down, instead of using what it knows to get home.

I live in an irregularly designed apartment and I was leery of the probability of success of this device. At first I had to pick up things like a three year old child was living in my house. Cords, shoes with laces splayed, etc. The smart vac model I got was the lower end so I expected hardly any AI type of learned behavior. The very first time I turned it lose on my house, it did a fantastic job covering of vacuuming 100% of the house. However, when the battery dropped to 10% and it powered down to dock, it took forever to find the docking station. Almost to the point of running the battery down to 0%. The docking time did improve though after it vacuumed the house a couple different times in the proceeding weeks. Overall I’m happy with the performance of the device. It has definitely made my life easier. I’m a lazy person when it comes to housework so this fits very well here!

Without a doubt the absolute best investment of $150 I have ever made in my life. This little vacuum is cleaning a huge house every single night with no muss or fuss. It is stone cold reliable, needs very little intervention, programming and set up was easier than programming your coffee maker. I don’t know what other products this company makes but I will be keeping my eye out for their name in the future. Outstanding product at an absolute incredible value. You will not regret it.
