TransEase: Realtime Translator

The camera translation feature is super easy to use and really helpful- when I’m reading a foreign language book, just snapping a photo gives me an instant translation that’s both fast and spot-on. Hope to see more cool updates from the development team.

Do NOT download the Transease app. It uses misleading advertising and signs users up for a $20/week charge without clear consent or visibility. My elderly mother unknowingly downloaded this app, and we’ve now discovered she’s been charged nearly $400 for a service she never intentionally signed up for and never used. What’s worse is that the app’s so-called customer service is a complete facade—no replies, no confirmations, and absolutely no resolution. They are operating under the name of a legitimate company in Canada, which is currently dealing with scam accusations and the unauthorized use of their identity in emails and app listings. This is deeply unethical and borders on fraud. Apple won’t take action because the developer technically lists a “contact,” but that contact is fake and non-responsive, creating a loophole that allows this scam to continue. Avoid this app and help spread the word. It’s a predatory scheme taking advantage of vulnerable users, and Apple should be held accountable for allowing it to remain in the App Store.
