I transferred an S&S ISA from Vanguard which took around 7-8 weeks. After I chased, it did finally land in my account the next day. By the time it arrived, I invested in the stocks that I had been tracking for weeks but unfortunately it was too late - invested at ATHs and the market dived soon after and I’m still paying for it now. But transfers can take time and I decided not to put this down to T212 solely. Next I tried to partially transfer a workplace pension (while keeping it open to continue contributions). I accept these are more complex but again it was extremely slow to the point where they said they had not heard a response from my workplace provider. I called up my workplace provider to enquire why and they said T212 had not responded on the Origo transfer system to their question about whether it was a 95% or 100% transfer (for reference, I had ordered a 95.2% transfer). I went back to T212 and told them how to action the request - I did not receive an apology but was at least satisfied they actioned it. I understand it’s my money and my responsibility but why does the customer constantly have to follow-up if T212 fails to respond to a message? My workplace provider gave me a transfer date on the phone and I will maintain contact with T212 through the app as that seems to be the only way to contact them. Overall, the app experience has been great and I don’t have any burning issues with it, but transfers have been something I would advise people to be proactive and vigilant about. It’s been a mixed first few months but look forward to continue to use the app once the transfers have been sorted out.
I first started using 212 this year January and I must say it’s not half bad when it comes to their stocks and shares accounts. As a new investor I’ve made my fair share of money especially in a year like 2026. But my problem with 212 is this, the cfds are absolutely choppy and laggy and a scam account to rob you. For those who don’t know, cfds are otc (over the counter) leveraged derivatives and your broker takes the other side of the trade. Naturally you profiting means they need to pay you even if their entire clientele takes the same side of the trade and it turns out to be a winner. Now this very morning as the market opened it was very clear that a certain asset was going to go up in value after certain news came out. At the open of the London session it absolutely froze. A message came up displaying “You can place market orders after the instrument receives a new price. Pending orders are still accepted”. Not even allowing me to close my overnight positions that were in the opposite direction. Not only did I miss out on the opportunity to make a couple quid, I lost more than I would have if only i had been allowed to close my trade. Further more i see real time price differences for identical assets in the stocks and shares account and the cfd account. This broker doesn’t want you to win. They’re as good as wall street in the US. They want your liquidity they want you bankrupt. And they don’t want to pay you a dime even when you’re in the right. Thanks for ruining my morning. I’ll be changing brokers soon.
Was thinking of giving 4 stars and sayin if in hope of options coming I will give it 5 stars but I don’t want to lower rating so still 5 star but really want to explore options and don’t want to sign up or use any other places, i feel the way trading 212 has things set up/ set out and clear will make it one of the best places to learn options and understand if they make it, be best app for all types of trading for sure if they make it as expected, they already have so many good ways to trade but this will jus top it compared to any app out ther I think for sure, I think I did see somewhere where they might be working on it, I don’t want to rush or anything, want it to be good but just letting you know a lot of people want it and that includes a lot of me, my patients it aching to try another app though, want to explore options badly so I’m jus trying to learn it in mean time instead of doing it but near getting to the point where I’ve learned enough and need to really learn by trying myself irl that’s why I want it on t212 so badly soon because it will be best to learn on most likely preferably as everything makes sense to me on trading 212 compared to other places which may take longer to understand due to it not being setup as good in my opinion
