The game itself isn’t half bad honestly. They have plenty of content you can scroll through and plenty of side events you can tackle. It has hours of content you can use your time on if you’re ever bored, which I find a good thing. The collaborations are insane, the character designs are cool, and the music is pretty great to listen to. The game itself isn’t bad at all, I’d say it’s pretty decent for being a gacha game. The only thing that isn’t good is the mixed story content in the later chapters and the unfriendly F2P part of the game. Chapter 4’s story starts off pretty good, but it then ends up as a bunch of unnecessary filler that doesn’t really connect to the beginning of the chapter itself. They could’ve just made it a side story based off the chapter. It’s not really a huge problem, but I kinda lost interest of the chapter’s story. The previous chapters are better in my opinion, go read those instead. As for the F2P in the game, the devs give you a bunch of free characters within certain times, but it’s always the standard characters from the original banners of the game and never any of the stronger, cooler characters of the game. The pity points you obtain within certain character summons are NOT transferred into any other banner-instead they just expire and you can’t use them anymore. So in the end if you grind a lot to invest in a certain character you want but don’t end up getting them, you better hope you have enough pity points before they leave. Because if you don’t, it ends up as a complete waste of resources that ends up being useless. Either you pay for in-game currency to boost your chances to get the better characters, or you end up grinding for months straight to end up grinding enough pity points before the banner leaves. All in all, I wouldn’t invest in this game unless you really want to, because you’re not guaranteed anything you’d want in this game. Other than that, the game’s not that bad.
This game has tons of characters and variations of said characters so variety is not an issue, they’re quite generous with starting you off and it’s not too hard late game besides a few of the challenge areas like the element EX stages or later in the tower, the story isn’t too bad in my opinion and I got invested in a few of the side stories, there’s an event going on all the time that allows you to get some pretty good items too. I only have 1 and a half complaints. The 1 is that the rate that you get god crystals at is a little too slow for the prices of things that require them for example a 10 pull with a guaranteed character is 600 god crystals but you couldn’t even get 10 a day without both being lucky enough to get plenty of the quests for it and not sleeping unless I’ve just been so unlucky that the max I’ve ever gotten is 4 or 6 on a double drops day for one search. So I feel like maybe adding a few tasks that are a little more difficult to complete should give like 5-10 god crystals just so free to play players don’t complain about having to buy stuff. My half complaint is that I wish you could get the option to speed up the auto battle so it takes all the spirit points and energy from the characters to just do all of the battles instead of having to do them all individually but that’s more of an inconvenience than a complaint so meh. I like this game a fair amount and it also helped get me into Touhou and I am very grateful for that.
The game in the early stages is extremely good and doesn’t require much effort into clearing, just some high level friends and that’s pretty much it, not to mention the story behind it too, Reddit and Twitter are the places to complain about the story arc. Here on the App Store or Google Play is to simply write reviews; the game is still as good as it is, however, the only things weighing it down is the extreme lack of actual general characters and general production, all new characters that are dropped are simply powercrept versions of pre-existing characters and you can’t get them without a little bit(or a crap ton) of pocket change to spare, and there’s also the general production of the game, I’ll keep it as short as possible. The events are where the game is mostly at, the story itself is extremely lacking after clearing Chapter 3, everything within Chapter 4 feels like unnecessary filler and the main storyline chapters aren’t that appealing anymore, everything is more cutscene than actual gameplay itself now resulting in lack of actual levels being grinded(of course players can just repeat stages with auto battle which is extremely helpful). Other than all of that, the general gameplay mechanics are simple to understand and the game itself is still pretty enjoyable.
