Toomics - Unlimited Comics

I downloaded this app so I can read a certain BL comic. I had to pay to read most of the chapters, which wasn’t a problem at all. But after finishing the story in less than 24 hours, I find myself not using the app after that for the rest of the year. It’s been 7 months since then and I literally found out TODAY that the membership required RECURRING payments. That means I’ve been billed almost 10 bucks for the past 7 months despite me never going on the app after using it in May. Upon reading their FAQ and TOS, it has come to my attention that I won’t ever get my money back simply because I completely read through the same comic in less than 24 hours. I like to think I’m legally supporting the content creators with my contribution but the fact that I barely went on the app for the majority of the year is a little... displeasing? I admit that I am to blame for being unaware of my blunder but at the time I signed up for the membership, my only option was to go for the one month plan since that seemed the cheapest. But it seems I misinterpreted it. Maybe to prevent this mistake from happening, the company ought to offer more flexible options like one-time payments to earning a fixed amount of coins like what other companies do...

I had forgotten and entered in my password incorrectly a couple of times. I am not even able to recover or reset it, due to my account being locked. I contact their help center with no help. Only a reply saying my account was flagged due to suspicious activity. Entering my password wrong can be considered suspicious. I’ve read many comments with the similar issues. I know I’m not the only one with this problem. The only reason I have an issue is because I paid for the VIP subscription membership. Meaning they automatically take money from you every month. And now I can’t even log in. I understand their concerns about getting their content stollen and reposted. This is an unfair process for both sides. There’s no way to redeem yourself, when they already assumed you were pirating their content. It’s frustrating especially when I don’t do anything wrong. I hope this flawed system gets fixed. If people want to know how to cancel their subscriptions, either contact your bank to cancel recurring payments, or go to your PayPal account and do the same. Just take the loss of previous payments if they can’t be refunded, and prevent further payments. Or they will keep taking your money every month. Whoever is in charge needs to fix this.

I like it i guess It's like most of the comic apps with the only being able to read like 5 chapters before you MUST buy the VIP to read the rest I get the fact that the authors need to be paid for their hard work and the app itself needs profit so I'm not here to complain about that (I'm not really financially able to buy the VIP or i would, i know its cheap but I cant really do away with my money like that when i can use it for more important things) I've read most of the free comics (even some in genres I'm not too interested in) and there's not that many in there. It would be nice if there were more I wouldn't mind if there wasn't more anyhow. It was just a suggestion <3
