Tissot Connected

I have had my T-Touch Solar Connect for close to a year and from day one it connected to the iOS app and worked fine. A couple of firmware updates along adding more functionality and it still worked fine. But this latest firmware update and it has all but bricked the watch. Cannot connect at all. Have rebooted phone and watch. Deleted app and reinstalled. Have followed all the troubleshooting and still….nothing. C’mon Tissot techies, get it together. Yes, if I chose, I could use the watch without connecting to the phone but it is a “connect” watch, as the name implies. Was happy for nearly a year. Not happy now. UPDATE: Set the brick watch aside for four days, tried again and Voilà….all worked fine, just as it did on the day I originally purchased it. App uploaded my earlier data and all information is intact. Don’t know why it took my ignoring the watch to finally come back online. UPDATE 2: Since upgrading to os26.6. , the app and watch will not sync. I’ve done all the standard restarts and deletion but still no better.

I’ve owned the Tissot Touch since its release of the Generation 1 over 30 years ago, before smartphones or watches. Tissot has always been a reliable name in my collection. The Gen. 2 T-Touch Solar was my favorite, but it was plagued with an LCD display that was too costly for repair, and a defective wrist band that peeled, and was made with Velcro. I then purchased the T-Connect Solar, ignoring the Connect part. I was disappointed initially upon its arrival, and has taken some time getting used to. However, If you like smart devices, the T-Connect Solar is a perfect match. I still own all three working watches. T-Touch Solar Gen 2 is still my favorite though the LCD display is useless, and the wrist band is disintegrating. Yet I love wearing my T-Connect Solar. It’s a very reliable, attractive, and, technologically advanced timepiece.

After pastes update to app and watch firmware Time 2 function doesn’t work. I have it set Time 1 to local time and time 2 to Warsaw time zone selected in app and the watch shows Time 2 as custom not Warsaw. No matter what I do within the app the time 1 and time 2 functions, selecting it or swaping between doesn’t work watch does not recognise it. It worked before. Very disappointing.
