I just updated the game and got to the chamber where you do the water puzzle. The answers and pictures are wrong. For the first one it should be 7 but it is 3. The second part of the puzzle has the exact same picture but the answer is 4. The picture of the last part is the same as part 1 and 2, but has a tube connecting the two sections. Despite all this, the answer should still be 7, but it is 5 somehow. I know it’s not game breaking, but it was annoying spending a lot of coral on something that I should be right according to the information given. Overall I love this game and can’t wait for more event islands and part 2. Edit: So I finished the Temple and got Seraph and got to the part where you collect coral everyday to get gems. I just started to work on getting the bee box and then a pop up appeared saying that I unlocked the pier. I checked the map and sure enough I did. I still have Seraph but I can’t collect coral for gems. I tried to explore it but nothing happened when it finished. Edit 2: Now I can get coral but I can’t use it. The pier is still there and doesn’t work and I can’t click on the vegetation to get rid of it for gems.
I really enjoy this game! I really like the multiple choices for the story, and as other people have been saying, it is no easy game. But for me, that's what makes it fun. Without any challenges, the game would get boring, am I right? The only suggestion I would make is to maybe make your own character and to pick what kind of talents you have. So, great job with this game!! Edit: Another suggestion I have is to have a warning before you use gems over maybe about 50. I accidentally used about 200 gems on coal, and I hardly even needed it. Great game, but with a few flaws. Another Edit: so, I've come to a little wall. So, in some of the garden game levels, there is literally no way to beat it. You have to try over and over again. So, if you're trying to get 5 hibiscus, you're going to need at least 5 seed, right? Well, the game sometimes doesn't give you enough to win. Usually, the garden game is super cool but it does have logic flaws like this one. Another thing I wanted to say was, the ads. I see a bunch of people in the comments saying stuff like this is just a moneymaking scheme that's trying to get all of your cash. Well, I'll admit there's quite a bit of ads, but they're optional. Though I haven't done much research, I know that game producers and companies need to keep their company running, which, requires money. And the way you get money in a company like this is through ads and in game purchases. So, please don't be quick to judge. The people running these games are actual people, too and they need to support themselves and their families.
****Developers: please make regaining health easier. Potions are really pricey and my dudes never have full health, even after healing in the top left icon. Okay, so I started looking for island survival games a few weeks ago because I had a really fun one on the Nintendo DS when I was a kid that got lost soon after I got it. I always missed that game because it was really challenging and fun, and had a surprisingly good plot line. I was really just looking for something to occupy my time and get my mind off of things because I was really stressed at the time, and I happened to stumble upon this game. From day one, I was really intrigued by Tinker Island because it too has a well-developed plot (that doesn't overpower casual gameplay), has riddles that are actually challenging, and includes sooooo many subtle jokes and references. It makes you think and strategize, pay attention to not-so-obvious clues, and gives random little gifts and/or misfortunes (play your cards right, and the misfortunes usually end up giving you a reward too though). I am so impressed by this game. The style is charming, and it doubles as a game to focus on when I feel like chasing the plot, or a simple distraction when I just want to gather resources. Very well developed and absolutely genius. ****tip: build things. All the time. Improve your resource gathering methods (ex: the stonemason) AND your shelter (carry limit for resources) early.
