I am a professional chef by trade . I cook day in and day out . For me everything that makes my life easier at home after long hours of work day , is priceless . Don’t get me wrong I have so many toys in my kitchen , even though my consultant hates me using that word , lol . This machine by far is the best investment I ever made . I mean it ! Everything is very easy to make with it . Making risotto without nannying , for real ? Yes it is and it comes out perfect ! Steamed rice , restaurant quality , you bet it is . Quick ice cream , bechamel sauce , sriracha , ketchup , beef Bourgogne … I am in love with this machine . And knowing how high quality German products are , it’s a no brainer to own this . I know it’s pricy and for average people , like me , it’s a head scratcher . But once you own it , you know you did good , will thank yourself so many ( many ) times . You can tell how much I love it . Just following a few steps , you have your dinner or anything you want is ready to have . Having online recipes on your fingertips is a huge game changer . I HIGHLY recommend this gadget . You’re gonna love it . It’s impossible not to …
Love this app, but PLEASE enable text reviews! Probably a lot to figure out with translations, but it’s worth it. Many of the recipes have caveats and little notes that are not provided, but would only be provided only through the everyday people making the recipes. In some ways, the comments would also bring a layer of community to this product - make you feel like you’re not alone in your corner of the work making things on Thermomix. which would only support the strength of the brand. I suggest using the NYT cooking app comment section as inspiration.
Thermomix is such an expensive machine, and this Cookidoo app is so disappointing as its only integrated cookbook. Some issues that need addressed: 1) Platform needs an internal translator built-in so that, say, USA customers can choose recipes from other countries and actually be able to read them and cook them. Recipes in English are only 7,800, whereas recipes across entire platform are 60,000+. I want the ability to choose from all of them! 2) Should have the ability to adjust serving size to 2, 4, 6, 8 and all of the ingredient amounts automatically adjust. 3) App should have a way to save filter preferences and not reset every time the app is closed. 4) Recipe quality needs improved. Seems heavily geared toward sweets. I would love to see more healthy, whole-food recipes that are packed with flavor. Healthy food doesn’t have to be just plain, steamed and bland. 5) Recipe variation needs improved. Searched United States for “Steel Cut Oats”. Nothing. I would love to see twenty different steel cut variations to choose from. “Grouper”. Nothing. I want Cookidoo to work as a true online cookbook-quality compilation, but it is lacking SO MUCH. These things are just leaving me very disappointed.
