Tape it Up!

I love the game but it won’t show up in storage, the resolution is good aspect ratio but does not fill the whole screen on iPhone 12 but I’m glad I can see the whole thing and maybe because it is pixel art it can’t really be made bigger even with a like emu type filter and then do the GUI? Also I was making purchases just fine last week but let me tell you now that the game requires me to go to the in-game settings and hit ‘Restore Purchases’ maybe an icon and maybe text toooo………… anyways the big thing is it says failed and does not automatically then by the mechanics then put like the character into my account in the game I have to hit restore purchases after every purchase…. So maybe this is more than one problem and maybe it is just me but like best game ever easily but I also enjoy Mario Run and Mario Kart Tour (not Rally!) amazing that it works so well even on 15.3 on my iPhone 12 and it hasn’t received an update in 3 years! Maybe that’s why it doesn’t show up on the storage screen in settings which always takes forever to load. Don’t think that existed back then… anyways hope the dev is still alive or interested I don’t want this to go the way of forget-me-not!

This game is one of my new favorite arcade games. The pixel art graphics, playful soundtrack and easy controls really make the game flow nicely. I have noticed others seem to be confused about the unlockables. You can unlock characters by winning them with 1k coins, you do NOT have to buy them to unlock them. 1k coins is easily obtainable in less than 5 minutes by watching ads, or if you like to work for them, like me, go at your own pace. It is just a game after all! I have a few recommendations: It would be nice if the order in which the boxes came was randomized. After about 15 minutes, the levels start to get really repetitive imo. (i.e. it's easy to memorize that the black "glitch" box comes at level 12 every single time in the same exact place). Also some new characters would be perfect! It's gr8 m8 I r8 8/8. Edit (after update 1.05): Wow I couldn't ask for more! The new characters are great and I love how the levels are different. Now it's not easy to predict the pattern of the boxes. Thank you so much for this! Much love to the devs.

Free to play games are not usually my forte. That being said, Tape It Up is absolutely different. The monetization is done quite well. Immediately the gameplay is addicting and that's all I want. What I don't want is timers that say sorry can't play right now. And Tape It Up is not that type of game. This game is in a class of its own! The developers have done a wonderful job making each item (tape, red tape, old school cassette tape etc) have its own atmosphere. Some even have unique themes that will keep you playing and wanting to unlock more items to play with. I love it! I spend a lot of money in the App Store each week but only a handful of games stay on my devices. This game has not only stayed on here but it's kept my attention for weeks on end. That's a tough thing to accomplish in this industry. Just do yourself a favor and download the game already. You won't be disappointed.
