After paying for and trying numerous task apps I’ve finally found one that actually increases my productivity and works so cleanly and efficiently. I want to make lists fast, add items as I think of them, and check them off with a flick of a hand. I don’t want to spend time setting up levels and folders and coordinating with different sets of users. Swipes is so clean and quick. Add a task as it occurs to you with one touch (and I use my voice on iPhone to do it) then wipe them away or easily reschedule them. I used to use Clear but it is now a subscription, which is ridiculous. Swipes has a much cleaner, minimalist interface anyway. I’m not a review writer in general but am super happy to find an app that doesn’t require so much input that it actually wastes more of my time than it saves. Super! I hope the developers succeed!
I absolutely love this app. I’ve done my time searching for the right kind of planner/task list, and the elegant/minimalist design of Swipes allows me to see what I get to achieve for the day without bombarding my mind with clutter most apps have. So I appreciate this greatly. Thank you so much. However what I think would be the absolute coolest, and would definitely increase my efficiency and productivity, is if Swipes was compatible on all Apple Devices. I use my iPhone and iPad often enough and I’m blessed to be able to sync my tasks on either devices but they are stored away, unlike my watch which I have full access to at all times. It would be really awesome if you guys could increase the app’s compatibility to watches and Macs as well so I can receive notifications or look at what I have left to do without diving into the deep trenches of my backpack to find my iPad or pull out my phone from wherever it’s run away to.
I have tried many many task list apps and this is among my favorites. I love the uncluttered UI, love the scheduling view broken into today, tomorrow, next day, unspecified etc (love the high level overview of what’s coming next), and love the quick and easy rescheduling options. But the three basic things I wish it had are: (1) the option for slightly larger font size (I hate having to get out my reading glasses just to read the next to do), (2) drag and drop reordering of tasks on the scheduling page (you can do this on the current tasks page but for some reason not on the scheduling page—it would be great to be able to just hold and drag an item from today to tomorrow, or to reorder tasks by priority within a given day), and (3) slightly more sophisticated Repeat functionality (for example, it will let you repeat a task on Monday each week, but not on Monday Wednesday Friday). And then the big concern is that the developer will abandon the app. I hope they are making enough money somehow to keep it going, since despite its shortcomings, it’s the best to do app I’ve seen as of Fall 2018, and I believe I have tried them all.
