Survival RPG 5: Pirate Ship

I bought all the games by these developers and finished the previous four versions. They are all casual games that have great balance between repetition and progress. Just when I feel like I’m starting to get bored with an activity, my character unlocks an achievement or ability or a new activity presents itself. I’m convinced the developers use game theory or something to get the right balance throughout the game.

Easy to plat but with endless variety. I don’t like games that are linear and scripted. Give me the option to make my own choices. This one does that. You manage the resources. You decide which task to accept. You decide how far to go in any given quest. Best of all, it’s easy to pick up and put down. Graphics are nice. Game play itself is simple and clear. All in all, most enjoyable.

The only hiccups for me were just a couple of bosses that seemed too demanding: The boss deep under the red cave was too nerve-racking and a bit hard for me, and the boss in the left temple in the jungle just plain had too much HP. But I did get through those, and aside from those two, this game was just as awesome an experience as 1-4 have been, and that's saying a lot! These are great action RPGs with elements from old classic RPGs and newer survival games. You totally can't go wrong with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5; and now I'm looking forward to 6. :)
