Looking at the update history this app is very young and this is so far the only reason I hesitate a bit to purchase the Lifetime version as many Apps are popping up and then are abandoned by the Dev - but most likely Iโll buy it nevertheless because I love when calendar/task/habit apps do have a timeline and I want to support the further development. How they have designed the timeline here is genius imo! There are still a few things to be desired - I would love to see an accompanying Watch App and that completed items in the timeline are more clearly marked as this (better visible striked out and maybe much darker displayed than active ones). Anyway: there is hope that there will come new features over time as this app is still very young.
I did the free trial of prime for this and it was decent, and I think could be great - there are a couple of problems & features Iโd like to see to get it to great. (Without the prime, though, itโs really not useful at all.) And customer service needs work, too. As another review mentioned, it deletes *all* recurring tasks if you try to delete it for one day. That is a big problem that the developer needs to fix. Another feature that Iโd love to see is some sort of lists for the Inbox so that I can categorize tasks that havenโt been assigned yet, especially ones that can be color coded. Having to change the color of each task is fiddly and time consuming. But having tasks color coded makes this much more visually appealing. If I could have a โworkโ list where all tasks were automatically one color and a โschoolโ one with another color, it would be much easier. I had a little trouble with the calendar import at first, where a Google calendar that imports into my iPhone calendar wasnโt showing up. And now one recurring event is showing up twice, which is annoying. I contacted the developer through the only way I could find about the first one and got no response. I finally fixed the first problem by unlinking and relinking that calendar. I havenโt tried that with the second as Iโm not on prime anymore. Iโm still debating if I will do it, probably depends on if the developer is actually responsive.
I have found Prosper effective for my needs and usage! Love the minimal, non-distracting design, the ability to add the emojis, and everything seems to work well overall. Some ideas for future improvement (so that it can compete with other similar planner apps) are: 1/ Adding Calendars is a little confusing if you have more than one calendar account, i.e. I have 4 calendar accounts and cannot identify which calendar belongs to which account (currently having 3 birthdays calendars and don't know which one is which). Would love to see a similar UX/UI to the iOS's Calendar settings. 2/ On the main page, when tapping the calendar icon, I would love to see a "dot" to identify days that already have scheduled plans, similar UI to the iOS's calendar app. 3/ Integrating AI planner, or virtual assistant (Alexa, Google Home, etc.) to schedule or add a task since I personally find manually adding tasks quite daunting. 4/ Minor nit-picking, but I think some motivational, friendly content would be nice. For examples, "No tasks scheduled for the selected date" could be "No tasks scheduled for the selected date. Would you like to add a task?". Or when there are free time between tasks, instead of "X free time. Schedule a task", it could be soften up to "X free time. Would you like to schedule a task?" or similar. In the end, this is a great start and I can't wait to see more!
