I was not enamored with the fact that I can’t see the progression of the letters as I am swiping them, among other things, but when I had 30 words left and felt as I had exhausted all possibilities, but then started finding these ridiculous words that most people have never heard of, I said, done and deleted the app.
I downloaded this because I really love the online version but want to play more often. Unfortunately, it’s too frustrating to play. First the words are super obscure. I would say out of 95 words in a puzzle, 40 of them are words that most people have never heard of. The super obscure words should be the bonuses and not standard words needed to complete the puzzle. Additionally, when a hint is given, it should not be for the bonus words, but instead for the words that count towards completing the puzzle. Maybe it’s possible that the bonus words are included in that 95 count but I don’t believe so. In general, I’ll probably just play this when I have nothing else to do, but it won’t be my go to game. And I won’t be paying for the upgraded version because it’s just not enough fun to do that. I like a game to be challenging, but if it’s so challenging that you can never win without using all of your hints and even then probably can’t win. It’s just not fun. The online version is challenging, and sometimes I have to use hints, but more often than not. I finish the puzzle. With this version, I don’t see me ever being able to finish a puzzle because these words are just ridiculous.
Great game. Keeps the mind sharp!
