I’ve been searching for a simple and effective way to track the usage of my mobility scooter and mobility chair—specifically distance traveled and time. While googling options for iPhone apps that could do this, I unexpectedly rediscovered an old app I had forgotten about: Sports Tracker. Originally, I downloaded this app years ago and deleted it due to lack of use. But I decided to give it another try based on my current needs—and to my surprise, it works perfectly for what I want. Although it doesn’t have a specific “Mobility Scooter/Chair” tracking mode, switching it to Cycling mode (and later discovering the e-Biking mode) turned out to be an excellent workaround. The app tracks route, time, and distance accurately. I now use it regularly not only to monitor scooter usage but also for dog walks with my German Shepherd (who needs a lot of exercise) and my two other dogs who require less. It helps me plan routes, track what we’ve done for the day, and ensure everyone gets the right amount of activity. I also plan to use it during visits to amusement parks to track how far I’ve traveled throughout the day. This will give me a better idea of how much battery I’ve used on my scooter or chair. Even though I don’t need the premium features, I gladly paid for the annual subscription to support the developers—because honestly, this app has been a game changer for me. It’s a great tool that deserves recognition and would be even better if they added a dedicated “Mobility Scooter/Chair” tracking mode. Highly recommended for anyone looking to track mobility device usage or even just daily activity. Solid performance, user-friendly interface, and fantastic value.
This program does more things right than any other. 👏 The ability to see all current statistics in real time, even calories burned is great. And the ability to mark lap times is also invaluable. The map display and path tracking are truly marvelous. The app has rescued me many times when I have become lost in thick trails and has shown me the way out, saving me from becoming a meal for hungry California mountain lions😳. The yearly and monthly calendar summaries let you know what you’ve accomplished instantly without having to dig through menus. All around a very well constructed app. I regularly test others and after using them for a day or two I have always come back to SportsTracker. Keep up the good work you engineers in Finland!👍
i have used/loved/recommended this app since is came out - 7-8 years or so - as it had all the features that kept you using it, especially for my sport of choice - street skateboarding; maps/heat maps, distance, intervals, pause/start, tss, training over time improvements, etc. i did expect it would go paid, but by adding something more that would ‘take it to the next level’ (way above others that have come since and added even more), not by taking pre-existing features and putting THEM behind a paywall - that’s pretty shady; it’s the same app and a subscription to get back what we already had is cheap, they’ve added nothing new. well, i’m off to another app, there are so many more since you came along and several offer more/better features for either a one time payment or much less expensive yearly subscription. i’ll still keep an eye on it, check back, and see if your tactics change (i have a soft spot for sportstracker - maybe add new features?!), but my hopes are low..
