Spatial Media Toolkit

This app converts pics to spatial that Vision Pro won’t/can’t for some reason. And it converts vids pretty well too, though there are a select few that, when converted, won’t play - it gets stuck in that “think circle” (or whatever it’s called) for a while until I get frustrated waiting and just give up. Don’t know if it’s the video file itself or something else entirely. But I have success with about 98% of the vids I try to convert. I’m getting way more than my money’s worth. Way more. This app has breathed new life into the use of my Apple Vision Pro. The Vision Pro has gone from being a novelty to being a near-indispensable part of my recreation habits thanks to this app.

The 3D rendering came out a lot better than I thought it could, and the latest version now offering a lot faster rendering was sorely needed and greatly appreciated. However when attempting to save a rendered video: — if the original was opened as ‘hidden’, your newly-rendered video will not be able to save back to the hidden folder as well, and doesn’t save anywhere for that matter despite leading you to believe it saved successfully — if the original video was saved out in the regular photo library, the newly rendered video will save as the same 2D video instead of the desired 3D video. So now you have two copies of your original 2D video. The only way to get past this is to save it to ‘files’, open it, then save the video back to your photo library.

As soon as I saw demos of spatial photos and video from Apple, I wanted more. And once I got my Vision Pro, it was one of the most fun things I played with. So of course I then wanted to go back and take some of my “old” photos and videos and see what they would look like as spatial versions. Well, Spatial Media Toolkit gives that to you! You can go through your entire Photos library of photos and videos and convert them. It’s fun and addictive… and brings back even more memories from every photo because the spatial element brings them more to life. Great app!!!
