I don’t know what everyone else is talking about. This game is very fair, and I have never once had to spend any money on the game! I have had this game for over a year and I’m on level 1,130. This game does not require you to spend money whatsoever. Yes there are some very difficult levels, but I’ve noticed the game almost has some sort of algorithm where if you seem to not be able to beat the level after a certain amount of tries, it gives you a winning hand so you can beat the level. All it takes is some patience, and not even very much patience at that. Don’t spend money on power ups, because there’s events going on literally all the time in this game that make it super easy to get power ups and a lot of extra coins. Not to mention it gives you free coins every so often, AND you can get free game tickets from friends on the game. ALSO including the daily challenges it gives you which are so easy to complete which gives you a lot of extra money. I have 30,000 coins right now and a bunch of power ups because I’m smart with them. There are days where I can play for HOURS because of how generous the game is with giving away things. The animation is so fun, the characters are amazing, and decorating the house while solving the mystery has been something I look forward to every day while I have down time. Every other game I have gotten on my phone has been gone within a week, but I have had this one for over a year as I previously mentioned. This game never gets boring. Keep up the great work because I literally never want this game to end!
I love this game. It has all the decorating that I love to do, but with card games instead of the normal match three. I like those games, but I was kinda getting bored of them. So I was REALLY excited when I found this game. One of my favorites definitely. I love the story and the animations are so cute. I love how you have to uncover the mystery of the past. Now I can’t say to much about it for future players, but I will say that it is awesome. I love how realistic the characters are. I have a dog, and he would totally do must of the things that Marlowe does. So good job in that. I only have one complaint and it’s not I big one. I was playing the hard level and selected the booster so I could win, (I did,) and when I started playing the other one it automatically decided that I needed to use my last booster on that one because I had wanted one last time. It’s not much, but it would be great if that could be fixed. Other than that, great game, good job, would totally recommend it.
I love renovation games, but I find the match-3 system predatory and set up to make you pay to advance. Maybe I’m just better at cards than matching, but Ava seems quite fair to me most of the time. I’m around level 203 right now, and I beat most levels after a couple of tries and haven’t really felt pressured to spend money yet. I’m enjoying the card levels and as an aspiring writer currently in the midst of a creative block, I’m quite invested in the story and the mystery of the manor! It’s not too difficult to collect lives, particularly if you join a decently active guild. I always have about 8-10 spare lives in my mailbox when i want to play a bit longer. However, the acid cards are absolute garbage. Please reduce the amount of times they appear! That and the flood cards do make the game feel distinctly more unfair at times. I understand you need to make money, but I am far more willing to spend cash long term on a game that feels like it’s on my side rather than one that seems to want to frustrate me into opening my wallet. Ava doesn’t quite hit that level, but the frequency of the acid cards once they’re introduced closes the gap more than I would like. I would also suggest lowering the star rate for things, especially when the story meanders and I end up needing 3 stars to eat lunch or something. And one a more superficial note, I would LOVE more cosmetic options for the renovation! Some options I love, but can be a bit hard to match. But overall, I’m enjoying playing a few rounds of cards when I have some down time, and I hope I can keep following the story of Ava and Marlowe to its conclusion.
