Smule: Sing & Duet

I had a free day trial, expected it to not actually try to make me pay because it's A FREE TRIAL. It had used a card that isn't my main card to use to pay for just regular stuff in general which I thought one of my family members has been taking money and made a bunch of tension between some of my family members. Turns out it's been an app that is charging me $9.99 dollars for a literal seven day subscription. As I had the use a payment method for downloading FREE APPS to realize that this subscription somehow was taking money not even from my regular main card but instead the card I've been using to save up money for buying stuff that I actually want. I feel so angry knowing that this app had been causing drama in my life and milking money off a card I didn't use nor had registered in my phone during the time of the trial. I really want my money back now that I have at most $7 when I used to have in my account at least $250 which meant that at least every week to almost possibly every few days I would get charged for an app I don't use because I disliked how I could hear myself through my AirPods. Don't use any of the subscriptions, it's a waste of money, and the app should fix their free trial since I've seen others reviews just now stating how they're going the same problems as me ever since the beginning of the year probably, and I hope I get a reply and a refund for the money that was 'used to pay' for the trial.

When I first downloaded this app in 2022, I really enjoyed the sound quality on recordings. I noticed there were no problems with static or delay. One thing, however, that stood out to me from the beginning was the fact that I couldn’t sing anything by myself without paying for a subscription (VIP). At first, I was fine with this, but as time progressed, I began to grow tired of having to join people who sang with different styles or in ways that weren’t necessarily what I was going for. I ended up deleted the app but then decided to download it back just to check in on things and see how everything was going. I was disappointed to see that a new update took place where older recordings expired after a certain period of time. I couldn’t find or search up any of my older recordings which made me upset. To make matters worse, I now had a harder time finding singers to join because recordings wouldn’t have a joining option. Even if you clicked on a duet, you couldn’t join it because it was closed for new recordings. The only way you could access it would be to subscribe and make your own recording in a solo, duet, or group. But not every user has money to pay for that. I, personally, feel it is unnecessary to charge for extra access when you can sing karaoke for free right at home. I know you guys are trying to raise money for the app, but I think something should be done to make sure every user has access to 100% songs, whether it be with ads, mini games, etc. Nobody wants to sing with someone else all the time or see their older recordings go away. Please do something about it.

My favorite app of all times, why took away the credits WHY? ;;( please Bring credits back. Please, If you bring credits back then i will happily put 5 stars :D. Some people can not afford VIP. Other wise I am going to have to join the big group of people who decide quit the app if the credits dont get back. I am old participating i. This app as non vio and have tried vip, either way i feel like i do not exist and is being takeit by only vips, some are famous vios some not so much, i think non vip have the right to sing too, i only being polite and nice and kind to many people, nowadays no one listen to me anymore and that is sad, also i dont know if is that my acount got hacked or what? What is wrong with my account why i dont get listen anymore? I have follow every single community rule and yet dont know what is going on and why i feel ignored and unheard? Is it an obligation to join VIP? Or else you will be completely ignored? Has been my account bugged? I join people and nobody listen or like it snymore cause i dont have vip. Again im one of the oldest member of this app and has been only polite and educated. What is going on? Is being my account deleted without any reason? Please explain it feels fristrating, and receiving invitation of “ soneone can’t wait to sing with me” and that same person has have their account removed, i dont know this person please help. I guess smule obligated me to terminate the account cause i can not afford VIP? I have tried vip before but does not work for me. So so,long my only therapy resource.

First I want to assure everybody that this app is not getting updated anywhere near as much as the update log would have you believe lol… it is simply compliance with Apple’s update frequency rule. App performance has never really “improved” The entire three years I’ve been using it; at times it has gotten worse and then return to normal, but I deal with the same bugs I’ve been dealing with since I started on here. If you really look through the log you’ll see that any time they make even the most minor of ACTUAL changes, they take care to point it out. The most recent actual change was a UI adjustment, that tried to help take the sting out of a recent-ish UI change that I personally dislike rather strongly. The community is pretty awesome as long as you are not a tool, and I’ve never seen a bigger collection of songs on any of the other apps. It also has slightly, to moderately less bots than the other apps I’ve seen as well. Social features suuuuuck but in some ways, I can appreciate the effect that has on the platform overall. It absolutely isn’t intentionally so lol - same low effort results. Sometimes I wonder if there is just one person programming this, that barely knows how to program. Considering the cost of a pro membership, the absolute lack of any kind of decent functionality is not really acceptable IMO. Other apps have FAR more advanced social features, and have been around for far less time.

I love this app! I make funny singing videos and I never had a problem with this app! I love how you can communicate with people that have the same interest in singing! This app is really great but the only problem is the limitations for the none V.I.P members. I get that they need to make money somehow but the other limitations such as not being able to start your own duets or solos were working just fine. I don’t mean to disrespect the creators in anyway I just really would appreciate if the creators would at least let us make as much videos as we want without being limited. I never really was a fan of the limitations on this app like not being able to sing some songs if you are not a V.I.P but I know that they need to make money somehow so I never really questioned it but I feel like it’s just not that fair that we can’t make more than 100 videos if we are not a V.I.P. Again I don’t mean in anyway to disrespect the creators and I really love this app and the hard work they put in creating it but I would really appreciate that when the new updates come out that you guys can take off the 100 video limitation for the non V.I.P members. Thanks so much, I absolutely love this app otherwise!!! 👌
