Smartphone iD - Passport photo

I used this app because I live in the United States and I needed to renew my passport. I took a photo using the app and they provided me with a passport photo in less than an hour. The photo looks nice but it is worthless, you cannot use it to renew your passport online. When you try to upload the photo, you get an error message saying that the photo isn’t big enough. Afterwards I looked at the photo guidelines on the website, and it says that you can’t use any apps, filters, computer software or artificial intelligence for the photo you submit. So if you want to use this app to renew your US passport, you will only be wasting your money.

The app falls short in its current state by lacking support for proRAW mode and a mirror front camera feature. Enhancing user experience could involve enabling proRAW mode for photos or allowing users to upload their own images, especially considering the promised professional verification. This improvement would contribute to a more versatile and user-friendly photography experience.

I’ve had multiple photos taken at the photo boths in France. And using this app was way simpler. the pictures were better and it’s an easy app to use. Thank you
