We purchased two passes to use for three days in New York. We arrived on Tuesday and decided to use the pass on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so that we could plan our sightseeing and also make some reservations so that we did not miss out on any attractions we wanted to see. On Wednesday we visited the Rockerfeller Centre to book in for the Friday morning and little did we know that by making a simple reservation as per the instructions and recommendations on the pass information it then activated the card without our knowledge and when we went to use the card on Sunday it had expired so we actually lost a day without our knowledge. We had to pay extra to see attractions that should have been covered in the pass. I would definitely not recommend this pass to anyone and there should be a way to make reservations to avoid line ups and missing out without the card being activated prior to wanting to use it. Very disappointed and will be putting my review on all sites for people to see
While the app works well, we found to our disappointment and after wasting a lot of time that some of the information in the site is out of date. For example, Planet Hollywood only honored dining until 5pm, whereas the site said it was good until 11pm; the site said we had to go to the Grayline Tourist Center in the Port Authority building to get TimeLooper, but that is only if you want to purchase the virtual reality goggles (doesn’t tell you that You can download the app and use your smartphone). Not only that, but the site said that Grayline is open until 9pm, but they close at 8m. Also, In every attraction we had to stand in a long line with other ticket buyers, whereas City Pass users always had a special line. The attractions were all very good and the value is good; just need to be more diligent in keeping the info in the app current.
We purchased a 6 Attraction Pass for our trip to New Orleans and it was so easy and saved us around $300! The key is to read about each attraction you may be interested in and PLAN! I learned real fast most complaints/bad reviews was from people not following directions. We did not have ONE issue with it! Will be using again!
