Screw Sort Puzzle™- Pin Jam 3D

Updating my review - (sigh). Like other games once you pass a certain level it’s impossible to beat without using bonuses and eventually buying extras to pass. I’m so sad - I loved this game! It was great up until recently (I’m at a higher level) and now cannot pass the level without using the tools. So disappointing. I echo what the other reviewers are saying - please don’t change this game! It’s right at the perfect mix of challenging and relaxing/fun. You can pass most levels with strategy and attention. I don’t even mind paying for bonuses as long as it’s fair and I don’t have to do it most levels. Most games get too ridiculous after so many levels but this one remains at that perfect mix (so far). I love the variety of the game boards too. Please keep going!! Thank you!

While the game isn’t completely ad free as advertised this game does have a pretty long honeymoon phase of not showing you ads in between levels, I played several hours before it started occasionally showing me an ad for a different screw game in between its own levels which was just weird. But the game can actually be mostly played for free and is somewhat generous with coins, tools to help with puzzles, and ways to buy extra slots per puzzle without watching ads which is MILES better than every other screw sort game I have tried so far where they bombard you with ads or ask for you to buy in game currency for the extra boxes almost immediately in puzzle one or you cannot solve the puzzle. That being said, I’m only a day in so we’ll see if this is still the honeymoon phase and there’s a drop off later where coins become too scarce and ads or real money become demanded more frequently like other games did…. Hopefully not. There are lots of little pings on the home screen showing off purchase packs but those aren’t too intrusive so they’re fine. The one that says remove ads has me worried though. Does that mean it’s going to get worse? We shall see.

This used to be a really fun game to play and I got pretty good at it and most the time I only have to use two toolboxes to pass. With that said the developer has now updated the game to where it hides the colors that you need at the very end of the puzzle which forces you to spend your coin or watch ads. The game now also will give you a toolbox of the same color. You just previously cleared two or three times in a row leaving you stuck so then you watch an ad or you use your coin and then you clear a couple toolboxes and then it happens all over again, so by the time you get to the purchase of the fourth toolbox, you get stuck again and have to use your boosts. There was one level. I did all four toolboxes up on the board all different colors, and the only color that was on the outside of the globe was green and the four colors I needed were at the very center. This happens level after level after level and it is frustrating that you did this to the game because this game was fun funny and the graphics awesome I’ll still play it just not as much as I used to
