Screw Sort Jam™ -Pin Puzzle 3D

This game is really well done, it has a lot of interesting puzzles and the powerups are actually useful. I like the “peek” mechanic that makes a block transparent if I tap and hold on it, particularly since it highlights which screws are actually attached to that block! There’s a lot of variety to choose from, the 2D and 3D levels are a very different style of gameplay and the events like Brawl and Tournament give an extra challenge if I want. I also like the variety of bonus events like the ladder and the gems and the dice, the game is more than fair with awarding powerups from them and from the daily challenge and weekly achievements. I also really REALLY like that I can play offline when I’m stuck waiting at a bus stop or a long line, I don’t mind ads but sometimes I just don’t have WiFi access. One thing I would really like, is to be able to choose when to play the MASSIVE 3D levels that pop up sometimes (like the big house with lots of windows and a porch and the entire roof lined with screws). They can take more than 30 minutes and don’t save in the middle so if I don’t have enough time when they pop up, I don’t get to play the whole thing. Overall this game is great, a lot of thought has gone into the details of the mechanics and game design, and it really shows in the quality and enjoyment of the game.

I find this the smoothest and most fun game of its sort, and especially appreciate that the ad content is mostly optional if you want more chances or a boost or something. There’s multiple ways to earn more coins to get the boosts and mini games and challenges that are quite satisfying. Oth now that I’ve gotten to level 43 there’s a new game mechanic in the 2D puzzles where there’s shutters that opens and closes with each and for some reason it triggers mild trypophobia for me and I just can’t play it. Pity, because I was enjoying the game! Hopefully it doesn’t happen with the 3D puzzles or the game is gone. :/

I've been downloading a lot of these screw pin games, especially the 3-D ones. This one has the best gameplay so far. The colors are easy to distinguish. The levels are well constructed. I really like that there are pins you have to uncover by removing other pieces. Two things that I don't like about the gameplay are that when pieces fall away, they sometimes get stuck and start flashing trying to fall. Also, you can tap-and-hold on a piece to show the pins that it's hiding, but it doesn't happen quickly, and sometimes it's hard to get it to work. My biggest complaint, though, is there just aren't enough levels. I have played some of them a dozen times. There's a new feature with levels under a glass dome, but there's only two or three of those. If there were more different levels, I don't think I would play any other of these games.
