Screw Blast - Pin Jam Puzzle

I haven’t been playing very long. I have played a lot of games like this and would say I’m pretty good at them. I’m on very high levels of the ones that I have kept and enjoy the complicated puzzles the most. It did not take long on this one before there were no moves available and I was forced to watch an ad to get an extra box on a very simple puzzle. I do mean simple. Since then it has been necessary to watch at least one ad per round on just about every single puzzle I have completed and they are still very simple puzzles. That is ridiculous. The ads are too long and should not be necessary. That tells me that this game is designed to be the way that it is. Okay developers, why not just make it a game players have to pay for then? Do you make more money this way? I don’t know what the puzzles in higher levels look like but I am not impressed with what I have seen so far. I have other games that I have kept and still continue to play that had amazing and more complex puzzles by level 3 that I still did not need a booster for until level 80 or so. I always try to hang in there and feel like I give a game a fair shake to see if it gets better. I did the same with this one. To develop a game that requires your players to watch ads because you made your puzzles unsolvable without them is pretty deceptive. Why not just force ads then? It’s the same thing in the end. Deleted.

I really want to give this app a 5 star because it is really fun and addictive. However, there are two reasons why I had to give it a 3. First, they only give you two color boxes to fill and then they continually give you the same color boxes until you don’t have any more screws. Then you are forced to get another box by watching an ad or using coins. I don’t mind watching a few ads but that leads me to my next reason for a 3 star. Recently, I’ve watched ads, particularly at the end of puzzles to get more coins. I will watch all the way through the ad and then when I hit the X to get the coins, it says that it failed to load and please try again. If I’m going to watch the ad, at least don’t have a glitch where I don’t get the coins!! I’ve watched it up to three times before and not gotten the coins. It is very annoying because that is sometimes the only way that you can pass the levels. It would be great if they could get that fixed!!!

I enjoy this version of a 3D screw game very much. It actually lets you see through the object to see hidden screws with a simple touch. This takes the “luck” out of the game and aids strategy skills sets to develop. One Note: the ad introducing this game depicted 4 discard boxes in every example as part of the game set-up. This is a misrepresentation as this version starts with two boxes like numerous other screw games and you have to earn coins or pay to activate additional boxes. (Requiring a player to “work” for additional discard boxes does encourage skill development, however I think the ad should depict features accurately.)
