Of all the restaurant apps I've used, Saladworks' is by far the least competent and useful. Placing an order is painful. The interface is entirely illogical on the surface, and gets worse as you use it. You get to pick five toppings... but you have to do the math yourself, because the app can't be bothered to tell you how many choices you have left. Wondering what the difference between adding chicken as a topping, a premium topping, or an extra topping might be? The app's not going to tell you. While the app formats to an iPad-sized screen, it's stuck in portrait mode, so if you have a Magic Keyboard case, you're in for more inconvenience. It figures that the app doesn't support Apple Pay. What's worse is that it doesn't even support autofill of saved credit cards. It has a "scan your card" feature, but if your credit card isn't in the now-outdated "embossed numbers on the front" form, it won't work. It's obvious that the very bare minimum of work was done to make an app. You can use it to order food. You'll just curse it all the while. (And afterward, as it spams your notifications with advertisements like all-too-many ordering apps.) Shame, because Saladworks has some great food.
After two trips to SaladWorks, I can say that the food is absolutely great. It’s tough to find healthy food that our whole family will agree on. From the Quesadilla to the fruit salad our daughter Cecilia ate to the Mixed Salad I ate, everything was perfect. The owners were nice enough to send our daughter a gift card which was very thoughtful. The entire staff greets you with a smile and the facility is spotless even during the busier rushes. If you are looking for a healthy alternative to all of the fast food on Rte 2 in Warwick, I absolutely recommend SaladWorks. Thank you SaladWorks for being excellent!!!
This app is so incompetent in so many ways i don’t know where to begin. I’m using it a lot during COVID bc I’m a big fan of the food and service and want to just be able to pick up, c’mon guys please invest a few bucks to contract with even a semi-professional programmer. Ordering takes twice as long as it should, hangs 100% of the time after I make payment. I always check my credit card site bc that’s the only confirmation my payment went thru. Is anyone at Saladworks familiar with the term UX testing? And this is a huge fan talking - fix this wreck of an app. Updating March 2021 - give the company credit. They fixed a few of the most egregious problems but did not fix all (like why do I always have to select the store I want to order from twice before I can order). And now today, after finishing ordering a salad, it only offers me the option or to pick up “In the Future.”. Where is “ASAP” like before or a synonym? Aaargh!!! August 2021 Update: Bravo!! App has been completely overhauled. 100% better! Now has a slick, professional user interface. Everything is clear and intuitive. Took awhile to happen but congratulations on getting it right. I still love the salads and now I can enjoy conveniently ordering online.
