When you get to the world/national league (I’m not sure what it is because I have been stuck on it for so long) the enemies are just absolutely insane. You get so little money from the crazy hard fights and the price of upgrading is ridiculous. This is because even if the money you get from winning was higher, there’s a small chance you WILL win. The problem is that you go to higher levels by wins, but once you get to national, everyone has ground breaking stats. The Dead Man is absolutely insane. I spent every penny on upgrading, but once he enters the ring he always wins. Same for the Wild Beast and Randall Vicious. They are huge and knock you out before you can get up! And near the end of the match get knocked down, you are on the ground so one they can literally do every move on you. The worst part is, you can barely even touch them before hey just break and one-punch you. How many breaks do they have?! And even if they have 3, by the time they use all of them, you are already knocked out and have lost. The only way to beat them is to lead them outside the ring and go inside the ring and when they try to get in just kick them down. But this only works 60% of the time because the A.I in them makes them relentless and eventually the game glitches and the jump very, very high and just air kick you and then just start obliterating you. And it is SO HARD to get money. I didn’t get this game to go take out the trash or move boxes. That is boring and cumbersome. Disappointed.
Now, I Wish I Could Give This A 3.5-3.9, Because That’s Around Where It Is. Before Anything Else, I Have To Say; This Game Isn’t Bad. Actually, For A Mobile Game, It’s Really Good. It Has Fun Gameplay With Enough Challenge to Make Sure You Don’t Win All The Time, And Have To Improve The Way You Play To Win.I Got Frustrated At Points, And Really Though About Uninstalling At Some Areas Too, But When I Came Back I Always Learned Better How To Match And Bear The Opponents. Now, I Am Giving A Lot Of Positives For A 3 Star, So Here’s What I Really Hate, And What Changed My Review - The Rumbles. The Rumbles Are Basically Boss Battles Where It’s A Free For All Against All Opponents From That League. While Everything Else In This Game Feels Really Nice, This Just Pains Me To Play. As You And All The Other Opponents Are Put Into A Small Ring, You Are Forced To Deal With Multiple Opponents At Once, Which Is Just A Horrible Idea. I Can’t See Where I Am Half The Time In Them, Smushed Between A Huge Battle And Getting Pummeled As Soon As I Get Up. This Would Be Fine If Like The Open Rumbles You Could Leave The Ring To Escape, But This One Forces You In, So You Can Have A Moment To Rest And End Up Wasting All Your Break Points In 10 Seconds Trying To Get Back Up. I Never Enjoy These Rumbles, And Always Have To Use A Glitch To Redo The Day So I Don’t Have To Do The Entire League Again For A Chance To Win. Overall, It’s A Broken System. If This Was Changed, I Could Give This An Instant 5 Stars. I Still Recommend It If You Want A Challenge And Like This Fighting-Type Games. *Note, Sorry For The Capitalization. It’s Become A Bad Habit*
As a wrestling fan, and a fan of the developer’s previous games, I have been looking forward to this game and it really delivers. This is the first combat sports games I have played that combines RPG and rouge-like elements. I love the simple move set, which marries the dev’s previous games’ toy like controls with a more classic wrestling move set. I love the humor (Tremor lecturing you about the dangers of concussions). Clearly this was made by a wrestling fan, who is probably about my age, and loved the era of wrestling I loved (late 80’s - mid 90’s). There are quite a few bugs. I received pay outs for matches I lost (this only happened when wrestling for Tony), and Tony’s dialog after some matches would sound as if I lost the last match for him when I won. There are a bunch more, but I expect to see them go away. This team has done a fabulous job considering the release coming right before an iOS update. The bugs aren’t game breaking and the fun of this game overcomes all that. A note to the developer...don’t respond to the ridiculous negative reviews you get on here sometimes. It makes you look bad and some people are just going to have ridiculous expectations. This game is basically free, and a delight and will only get better. You have a solid product, and it will do well. Keep fixing it and improving it and people will keep playing it. Somewhere along the way people started to expect a perfect bug free game with massive multiplayer support for free at launch. This is going to lead to some odd ball reviews. Don’t pay attention to them.
