I enjoy participating surveys, but sometimes the process is so painful. This app made it simple to keep track of where I went and record details for the survey. I appreciated how, after a couple of repeat trips, the app would suggest how I would complete the entry without even having to make a selection — but also gave me the option to override the suggested responses to make it accurate. That streamlined the process for daily trips. I also thought it was helpful that you could go back and fix things that weren’t quite right from earlier trips, even a couple of days later. That was another great way to help survey participants actually fulfill their responsibilities.
Beware if you have an accident with your phone and the survey period ends you are locked out of your account and cannot finish. Worse when your partner did the whole survey period and you spent 5 days also doing the work. The surveys and feedback can be time intensive and give no indication or heads up on time estimate. This app would be better if you could indicate home and other places you go often. At least gmaps has this feature. If you want to get paid the same amount for less work sign up for usertesting.
I participated in a travel survey, and while I was willing to do the surveys as requested, I could only do about a few day’s worth of them! This app uses so much background data it depleted my iPhone’s battery within just a few hours! And that’s with a totally new phone. It’s totally unacceptable, and there should be a process that lets you record data only while the app is open. On another note, even after doing the surveys, the company went on to say I didn’t complete enough to be eligible for my reward, thus I won’t be receiving anything. That’s ludicrous! Not only did I do what they asked, I had to do these surveys on a battered battery! Don’t even bother with this travel surveying app. Not only will it take a hit on your battery’s health, they won’t even acknowledge or compensate you for your time. It’s simply not worth it.
