Rime - room escape game -

Played a LOT of these sort of flash style room escape(static picture w/interactive spots) and this one is definitely awesome. Puzzles are a good balance of difficulty, and also there are hidden endings which sadly most games like this just never have. I appreciate the fact that the devs took time to put in that little something extra even on game anyone can play completey free of charge(w/minimal ads to boot!) If I had a complaint it would be the “item” selection bar is somewhat obscured by a floating add banner, but this is a trivial thing since you can double click any item and view an enlarged photo of it to see what it is at any time, a very minor complaint(not even enough to detract a whole star) for an overall enjoyable, great game!

I enjoyed it. At first, your only in a one room/ partial top floor, and not much in this place. I thought it was going to be boring and lose interest. But it’s the little things you either don’t see at first or blends in, because of patterns of faded dull colors(if that makes an sense). Having hints in what ever presented way to helping you get to the next step without playing for them. In this one, they take you to a separate page that shows you step by step on the puzzle. And depending on the puzzle story and the flow of it really depends if you need hints or not. And in my case when all else fails, thank goodness for hints. This was got frustrating, you really have to look all over in a four square room. It was like you were the one actually stuck in that confined place with trying to find a way out, and going crazy. I’m was hoping for a 2nd edition to this.

I enjoyed the game. However I figured one of the things out, I guess, sooner than the game was programmed to allow me to resolve that part. Because the game wouldn’t let me solve it when I figured it out, when I got to the part where I was actually supposed to do the task, I was stumped. I didn’t try to do it again after it didn’t work the first time and had to ask for a clue...without giving it away to new users, I am referring to the string. I figured out how to retrieve the string but I did not have the other required component for that piece yet so the game would not let me retrieve the string. When I had the second piece, I didn’t think to try again to retrieve the string, so I had to use a clue, which was frustrating to me to find out I had to do exactly what I tried to do much earlier but failed. No worries. Still enjoyed the game.
