Life is, for the most part, all about rules. Depreciation rules. 1031 exchange rules. Even REPS hour rules. It can be rather daunting to keep contemporaneous and accurate logs throughout the year to meet your 750 hour requirement (long term rental). Thus, we are extremely happy with this REPStracker application. It allows for seamless, real-time logging of material participation hours. It also allows immediate upload of photographic evidence (contractor photos, emails, etc). Which is great to stay organized if you have a busy day job. The customer service is also top notch. Every time we reached out for help , we got a timely reply and more importantly, a timely resolution. Highly recommend this app over the old school way of keeping excel sheets (or worse, a shoebox of random sheets of paper here and there).

I honestly thought my hours were a slam dunk for REPS status—I mean it always “feels” like I’m doing something “real-estatey”—until I actually started tracking it on REpS Tracker. I’m either super efficient or answering emails and making phone calls does NOT take as much time as we all imagine it does. This is super important-especially since I also drive for instant and my “50% or more qualification” would’ve cancelled out my REPS status had it not been for the app (and allowed me to cut back on those hours). It allows me to upload time hack pictures, screen shots of receipts, etc. love this APP-I nerd out on all the tax and real estate podcasts and share it with anyone questioning reps status. Save yourself a rude awakening when you get audited !
