Remote for Firestick & Fire TV

I have the fire stick app for a long time. I use it if I misplaced my fire stick remote or if my batteries die. All of a sudden, the other app I had started trying to get me to sign in and change my password so I deleted it and downloaded this app It’s awful! It takes a long time to connect to my fire stick, and then it keeps wanting to give me ads… Why would I pay for ads for an app that should work with my fire stick? Unfortunately, the remote I got with this particular fire stick drains the batteries. I got it brand new with new batteries and have replaced them three times in about six months. I use this at my job so it has to work and brings problems when it doesn’t.

1. If the device fails to connect, a message appears stating Fire-stick and phone must be connected to the same network. But if you can’t connect to the device how are you supposed to change the network settings?? 2. Once you get connected and you’re browsing through the app and you find something you want to watch, once you select it, this ad pops up on your phone super loud if you’re phone is not silenced and will lock your phone up with no way to close the ad until finally, what seems like forever, you get the inconvenient opportunity of clicking past the first ad, forced into a second one before you can finally close it out!! No other app I have ever downloaded has done that to my phone. Deleting the app ASAP!!

Should not have to purchase. We already purchased the entire product the remote does not come with any type of locating features while it’s designed to be misplaced. Due to the lack of locating features available like a “find my remote” the app with the premium features should be available as a feature back up for lost or broken controllers because they also break pretty easily. But that’s just my opinion.
