Range cooking thermometer

I was pretty excited about trying this out. Watching the temperature go up from the other room was awesome. It also lets you know the estimated time to ideal temperature based on how fast food is heating up. I honestly don’t know what level of done my steak was in the past, but after seeing what an actual medium rare looks like, I feel lucky I never gave myself food poisoning in my uninformed cooking adventures and grateful for the culinary deliciousness I now cook with the Range.

I’ve had a range since their kickstarter campaign and I upgraded when they came out with the dial. It’s make cooking in the kitchen way easier and more precise. Only thing I wish they would add is a watch widget so do I don’t need to be near my phone.

I’ve used it to grill steak and to bake it (wha?). The cord didn’t melt so I don’t know what the other reviewer’s problem is. The app is simple, well-designed, and does almost all I want it to do other than having the thermometer in landscape mode. I’m not that interested in charting my steaks. I could see that being very valuable to bakers and the like. Worked great with all of my iOS devices. I got notifications on my iPhone while my iPad Mini was set up by the grill and by the oven.
