QUITTR - Break Free Now

So much I could say about this app… I’ve come across a lot of apps over the years that were meant to help people overcome addiction, but many were lacking in many areas, and I didn’t even understand why until I came across Quittr. For starters, for what Quittr offers, it has to be among the most if not THE most reasonably priced platform of its kind. A lot of apps in this realm (in my opinion) have their pricing as more of an obstacle to people looking to overcome addiction than an aid. Much of the challenge I’ve had in the past of trying to overcome addiction is just not having the help or resources in the heat of the moment. Quittr provides super practical aids to literally go to when you’re in a rough moment. You also have simple and easy access to tons of people JUST LIKE YOU who are on their journey. This was also significant for me, because I’ve been in groups in the past where I just didn’t see much representation of my age demographic, and that felt very isolating. With Quittr, it genuinely is a best of a community feel as I feel you can get in an app these days. I could also mention the learning resources, games, metrics, and MUCH more. This app is literally an answered prayer. Yes, I have my own motivations for staying clean, but Quittr has been a HUUUUGE boost for me along my journey… I’m 25 days clean, and though a long journey awaits, I’m extremely hopeful and optimistic, in large part because of the resource I have in Quittr.

I had seen many ads for this app and wanted to check it out. I found it extremely odd that the ads were of influencers who gave great messages about getting out of sin and lust, just to get people to download this app and…pay a subscription. I couldn’t help but feel that it was a way to take advantage and make money off of those struggling with addiction. But I paid the $50 for the lifetime subscription (which was labeled as a limited time deal and said the regular price for this was $450), and tried checking out the app and its features for no longer than two minutes before I was kicked back to the welcome screen and couldn’t get back in without paying for the subscription AGAIN. I tried reloading the app, looking for a way to skip the page, but nothing worked. Whether this was a glitch or a way for them to try and make more money, I feel like charging our brothers and sisters in Christ for help that should be freely given by God’s people is exactly the kind of thing that got people’s tables flipped in the table by Jesus Himself.

I purchased a lifetime subscription on multiple occasions and I was STILL not granted access. I emailed “QUITTR TEAM” requesting access, so I can actually use the app to help me quit this habit. Emailing back and forth requesting refunds for OVER A MONTH! (I have receipts and emails to prove it.) I keep getting messages in return that read, “your issue has been sent to senior support.” But without avail. I even purchased a monthly subscription to keep my app open so I can use it. They instructed me to not make anymore purchases and they will refund me…haven’t received a penny! If you have success with this app, more power to you. Me, I will not be recommending this app any time soon or ever again. Hopefully I can at least get my money back.
